Sea Shell Ceremony

$54.99

Sea Shell Ceremony by Destin Wedding Officiant for Beach Weddings, Elopements, or Vow Renewals is a great way to include everyone in the wedding by way of offering blessings and good wishes to the bride and groom. Also, it is a good way to ensure that everyone makes contact with the Bride and Groom at some point during the day. This is usually referred to as “Blessing Stones,” however, I prefer to use Sea Shells as they are natural and do not harm the ocean or any eco life of our precious and beautiful beaches.

When the guests arrive at the ceremony, they are given a “Blessing Seashell,” or they are simply placed on each seat.  During the ceremony, the Officiant explains the significance of the Blessing Seashells, with a brief explanation of the tradition and ritual. Each guest is asked to hold the seashell during the ceremony while they place their best wishes and blessings.

The Sea Shell Ceremony includes:

Sea Shells

Decorative container for Sea Shells

Use of Table for Sea Shell Ceremony

Sea Shell Ceremony by Destin Wedding Officiant for Beach Weddings, Elopements, or Vow Renewals is a great way to include everyone in the wedding by way of offering blessings and good wishes to the bride and groom. Also, it is a good way to ensure that everyone makes contact with the Bride and Groom at some point during the day. This is usually referred to as “Blessing Stones,” however, I prefer to use Sea Shells as they are natural and do not harm the ocean or any eco-life of our precious and beautiful beaches.

Here is an example of the explanation of the Sea Shell Ceremony to your guests in the introduction of the ceremony:

Rachel and Nathan have chosen blessing shells as symbols of your individual blessings to them. The shells will serve as a lasting reminder of the magic and love they share today. We ask that during the ceremony you hold the blessing shells tightly in your hand, and reflect for a moment your wishes for this couple for love, happiness, prosperity, and unity as they exchange their wedding vows. When a commitment this strong is made by two people, the force of that commitment, of that love, of that courage, reaches out and touches all of us around you, so that our lives are changed and we share a part of your love.

Like a seashell dropped in an ocean, the ripple of the love from this celebration extends and changes the world we live in.

Following the ceremony, Rachel and Nathan invite you to follow them to the water’s edge along with your shell and pause to make a wish or blessing for happiness and goodwill for the couple and for the future of their marriage.
